Journal Entry

Camp Verde, AZ

We are now settled into this place.
I am excited for what will be learned.
The music of the birds as I sit in the sunshine by the creek here is beautiful.
The short walk to the creek with the rocks and the sounds of the water running over them…peace.
The sounds of critters lurking and rustling through the leaves…funny.
We are never alone.
I am so incredibly grateful for this journey.
I am grateful for Bryan and this place and for my mom being with the kids.  I am grateful for our awesome kiddos and what they are in this world.
I am grateful for my health and my outlook on life.  I am grateful for God, the Universe, Mother Nature, Great Spirit, Jesus, Buddha, Love, Light and Life.  May today we be blessed with love and abundance.  May our family, friends and planet be blessed moving forward in love.  Namaste

I found a wonderful meditation spot at our little cottage!
On the trail to the creek there is a point.
On it sits a simple bench right next to a tree and the water.
I journaled, breathed and practiced qigong there this morning.
I now sit on a red rock in the sun overlooking the trail right down from our deck.
It is so peaceful.
The trees are tall, slender and simple with tons of green everywhere!
There is a funny bee that circles me.

There is a lot of hustle and bustle in Sedona.
Everyone looking for “something”.
A lot of stuff to get through to get to the peaceful.
That’s okay.
And also, I have found that it’s the unexpected, off the popular trail, where I find the most peace.
Like my little spot here on this rock and on the bench by the water.
It’s a quiet, beautiful, little hidden gem.  I love simple.  I love the hidden spaces.  I love traveling off the beaten path.  This place has a lot of older people staying in it.  I see them stroll down the path, many with dogs.  I wonder, when I get to that point, what will I reflect on?  The good, the great, the simple.  What I am grateful for.  Love.  Loving.  Being loved.  Sharing love.  That’s all that matters.
